This ministry involves so many areas as you will see below.   Many more ideas are springing up and friendships are growing and growing!  More faces are needed at the monthly committee meetings to make it all work.  Please consider joining this wonderful ministry in some way.  Those interested are most welcome at the meetings on the first Monday night of each month.  

Communion to the homebound – Eucharistic ministers deliver the sacraments to those unable to attend church. 

Delivery of altar flowers – to the ill and shut-ins

Bulletin and sermon mailings – to those unable to attend the services

Widow Support Groups – 4 self-guided groups of various stages of widowhood meet monthly for fellowship and support.  Each group often meets for lunch and also collectively with the   other groups.

Dinners for Eight – these small dinner groups provide a SUPER opportunity to get to know other members of the congregation in an absolutely fun home setting! Participants take turns in hosting the main course at their home, while the others in your group alternately assist by bringing an appetizer, salad, or dessert.  This provides a fun way to share in a meal while perhaps meeting new people or maybe getting the chance to know others a bit better.  Notify the church office of your interest and your name will then be put on the list.

 Shepherd Groups – In an effort to provide more one-on-one personal communication within our church family, volunteer callers contact members periodically.  This also provides an opportunity for new friendships, recognition for pastoral assistance and a general update on the church data base records. 

 Assimilation of new members into the church – Welcome contacts are made to all new members to introduce them to various activities and sincerely welcome them to the Holy Trinity family.

Monthly birthday card mailings – Cards are sent by individual church members to recognize each member’s special day!

Nametag Sales – With the goal being friendship and the desire to learn everyone’s names, nametag sales are held periodically.   This makes it much easier for all of us to remember each other’s names.

Committee display in narthex on one Sunday each year – to make the church family aware of the committee’s objectives.   With so many opportunities available to help one another, this displays it all at one time in one location.

Church Business Directory – Categorized by services, the directory will be a source to find a recommended business to complete the service you may desire.  If you wish to include your business or recommend a business for the directory, please provide a business card and/or a short write-up to the church office, marked to the attention of Jackie Mixon (240-3041).  This will be available in the church office.
